Class Announcements
Mid Year Check Up
Parents and students plus do me a favor and check grades on line at least once a week.  As many of you are aware, there was time earlier in the year where I was having trouble saving recorded tasks and grades.  After working with members on staff, we hope to have a handle on the problem.  With that said, I would still like to have as many eyes watching over this as possible.  Please contact me if you have any grade concerns.  I currently keep a hard copy of the grades as well.  Student work is generally graded right in front of them to allow for a chance to converse with me about the lesson.
Sketchbook assignments are still behind what is posted on fusion, due to the weather issues of last month and the fact that all classes having to move at a more rigorous pace to meet all the Art Curriculum guidelines.  Sketchbook 16 is due on Wednesay or Thursday (March 17th or 18th) depending on when the student has art class.  This is due to the upcoming Touch Base Day scheduled for March 19, 2010.
During Touch Base, I will be able to show you current grades as well as discuss any classroom issues that may need to be addressed.  Touch Base is scheduled from 7:30 - 9:30 am.  I will be calling parents this week if there are concerns about academic performance or behavioral problems.  If for some reason, I am out on Friday, please leave your name and information and I will contact you at my earliest convenience.

Government Form Due back Dec 14
Hello, all students of Forest Park received on Monday, December 7, 2009 a form to take home and have filled out by the parents.  This form is given as part of a federal government mandate for the collection of data on race and ethnicity for all public school students.  New categories have been developed by the federal government to provide a more accurate picture of the nation's ethnic and racial diversity.
Each student's parent/guadian must complete and return the form to school.  If forms are not returned, a school staff member will observe and select racial and ethnic categories on the student's behalf (as required by the new law).  All forms are due back no later than December 14, 2009.  If there are any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate contact me.
